Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas midnight mass was beautiful and a blessing.  It was nice to see some new faces, some faces we hadn’t seen in a while but were missing, and our weekly family.  Thank you to Henry and the worship team for putting together a beautiful service and to everyone who contributed to making it happen.  Special thanks to those who provided music for the evening – Joe, Kimmie, Danny, and Maryellen. What a blessing!
We continue Christmas with the 12 days of Christmas.  Hope you see you soon!   Feel free to pass on your Weekly All Souls Good News to a Friend!  Seeing this for the first time?  Click on “JOIN OUR MAILING LIST” over on the left hand blue column to get this directly to your email.
Blessings! – Jerry

This weeks readings:

Take time to mediate on God’s word and prepare for worship this Sunday.

 Isaiah 61:10-62:3

Psalm 147

Galatians 4:4-7

Luke 2:22-40

Psalm 147

Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God! how pleasant it is to honor him with praise!

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

He counts the number of the stars and calls them all by their names. Great is our LORD and mighty in power; there is no limit to his wisdom.

The LORD lifts up the lowly, but casts the wicked to the ground.

I found this weeks Psalm uplifting and fitting for this season. God cares for each one of us – so much so that just has he call the starts by name – he call all of us by name!  We should be praising him always! Lift you voice in song!  It does not matter if you can sign or not – praise him always!
The Psalm personalizes the Christmas Story – God sent the Son to earth as a babe – for all of us, even if it was just you living on the earth and needing salvation – he loves YOU so much – the Christmas Story would have happened just for you.  He heals the brokenhearted and lifts up the lowly – if your struggling this Christmas season, bring that struggle and lay it at his feet!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
