This weeks readings:

Take time to mediate on God’s word and prepare for worship this Sunday.  And as you meditate on them, consider the question of the week: “How will Jesus’ words today move me in this coming week to a commitment of belief and witness, compassion and service?”

Jonah 3:1-5, 10

Psalm 62:6-14

1 Corinthians 7:29-31
Mark 1:14-20

Psalm 62:6-9

For God alone my soul in silence waits; truly, my hope is in him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold, so that I shall not be shaken.

In God is my safety and my honor; God is my strong rock and my refuge.

Put your trust in him always, O people, pour out your hearts before him, for God is our refuge.

God’s mercy and love for us our forever.  In our good times and bad times, our struggles and celebrations – there is God!  Have you asked God to give you strength lately?  He will.  Have you asked for his peace and presence? He will provided it.  His forever or rock and our salvation!  Amen!

Closet Cleaning – THIS SATURDAY! Join us!  9:00 am!

If you have ever helped put things away after the service, helped with greening of the chapel, or find things for pot luck – you know that our office closet and our storage closet both are in need of some help.
We are doing some early spring cleaning this Saturday, January 24 at 9:00 am.  We welcome any and all help!   Just meet us in the office and we will get started!  (IF IT SNOWS – and your unsure if we are still doing the closet cleaning, please call Jerry @610-698-0818 before trekking out)

TO CANCEL SERVICE or NOT?
How you can be sure!

The freezing weather on Sunday morning kept some people home from service – and we understand! Better safe than sorry!
Certain members of the board have been tasked with making the decision to cancel services or not.  We try to carefully watch the weather,  predict what might happen by 1pm service time, and make a careful decision.  If canceled we will post as early as possible on our Facebook Page, send an email, and we do have an account with channel 69 news and you can see those closings at wfmz.com
Of course if power or internet becomes a problem, you may also call the church phone and the voice mail will be updated as well.  If your still not sure, then always better safe than sorry. Spend some time meditating on the weeks scriptures in the safety and warmth of your home.

How will I respond to God’s call?

Samuel’s response: “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.”

What is MY response?
