This weeks readings:

Take time to mediate on God’s word and prepare for worship this Sunday.  And as you meditate on them, consider the question of the week:”

What does Jesus have to “drive out” of the temple of my soul, what “tables overturn” to transform my heart from a “marketplace” in to “the Father’s house”?”

Exodus 20:1-7                               Psalm 19                                        1 Corinthians 1:22-25                         John 2: 13-22

1st Corinthians 1:24-25

” But Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God to those people God has called – Jews and Greeks. Even the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of  God is stronger than human strength.”

Christians must focus on Christ to understand God’s will. Human wisdom won’t do it. Human wisdom tells us to get as much as we can, believe only what we can see, enjoy pleasure, and avoid pain. God’s wisdom tells us to give all we can, believe what we can’t see, enjoy service, and expect persecution.  Does your life reflect the difference?

TO CANCEL SERVICE or NOT?
How you can be sure!

Certain members of the board have been tasked with making the decision to cancel services or not.  We try to carefully watch the weather,  predict what might happen by 1pm service time, and make a careful decision.  If canceled we will post as early as possible on our Facebook Page, send an email, and we do have an account with channel 69 news and you can see those closings at wfmz.com
Of course if power or internet becomes a problem, you may also call the church phone and the voice mail will be updated as well.  If your still not sure, then always better safe than sorry. Spend some time meditating on the weeks scriptures in the safety and warmth of your home.

How are you doing answering this  past week’s question
of the week from the bulletin?

Where will my “leaving the mountain” with Jesus take me this week?  What form will my self-sacrificing service and unconditional love take?
