This weeks readings and question of the week:
Take time to mediate on God’s word and prepare for worship this Sunday.  And as you meditate on them, consider the Question of the Week:

As I look at the blessed palms that declare Jesus’ mercy, whom must I take the initiative to forgive from the heart, sharing this unconditional mercy?

Isaiah 50:4-9a
Psalm 22:8-9, 17-18, 19-20, 23-24
Philippians 2:5-11
Luke 22:14-23, 56 (The Passion)
Philippians 3:8-14
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,

who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
as something to be exploited,
but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,

he humbled himself
and became obedient to the point of death–
even death on a cross.
Therefore God also highly exalted him

and gave him the name
that is above every name,
so that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians  continues talk about the Hope that is in Christ.   As Christian we know he is the Christ and Savior of the world.  The story of Christmas is when he took on the form of slave and humbled him self.  This week we find him obedient to the point of death on the cross.  But it does’t end there.  We know that he rose from the dead, that he holds the keys to death and that someday he will come again – and every knees shall bend and every tongue confess – everything we as Christians believe and come together to declare each week – especially this Holy Week.

question of the week?
Jesus offered pardon unconditionally and graciously to the woman accused of adultery and to me. To whom can I offer this unconditional and gracious pardon?
