Bishop Peter gives his reflection
Reflection by Bishop Peter
Bishop Peter gave a reflection on “Reconciliation within the Communion of Saints” In his reflection he called us to surrender and be obedient to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He also called on the ECC to be a prayerful people and allow for a diversity of spirituality.

Pacific Northwest Region asks to begin Diocese formation.
The various communities in Washington State did a discernment among their parishes and asked Bishop Peter to begin the process of forming Pacific Northwest Diocese. The current Regional Vicar, Fr. Tom Altepeter will become a suffrage Bishop while in formation.

House of Laity and House of Pastors meet again; Legislation Passed!
Although not all proposed legislation was addressed; the top priority legislation was debated, forged, and voted on. Legislation addressed the issues of parishes financial contributions to the ECC and defining “members in good standing”. A proposal to give flexibility to the term of the Presiding bishop was passed and the 2015 and 2016 budgets were adopted.

Rite of Ordination into the office of Bishop was held for Fr. Frank Krebs who was ordained Bishop Francis – Bishop Elect of the ECC. He will be installed as Presiding Bishop onSeptember 19, 2015.
