ALL SOULS SUNDAY, which is our feast day and our Annual Meeting is this Sunday, November 1. We hope you will plan to join us we celebrate our Feast Day! See below for information what to bring for the pot luck and other information about the meeting. The service liturgy is always special so we hope you can join us this Sunday.
Don’t forget to “FALL BACK” with your clocks this Sunday (or Saturday night before you go to bed). No problem if you want to get to church an hour early – you can help with set up of the service or the potluck!!! But its also a good reminder to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
Please take the time to read the articles and information in this week’s “GOOD NEWS” including a change with our prayer list. Feel free to forward this newsletter to a family member or friend, or share it on your facebook page or twitter by using the “like” and “share” icons at the top of the page.
This weeks readings and question of the week:
Take time to mediate on God’s word and prepare for worship this Sunday. And as you meditate on them, consider the Question of the Week:
What can I do to make someone feel that they belong again to the family of God’s people? Who among my beloved departed should I make a conscious effort to imitate because of their faithful lives?
Wisdom of Solomon 3:1-9
Psalm 24
1st John 3:1-3
Matthew 5:1-12
1st John 3:1, 3
See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God.
Rejoice and be glad,
for your reward will be great in heaven
