We Won’t Be Alone In The Voting Booth
Dear Beloved of God,
As we head into this upcoming midterm election, I would imagine that many of us are experiencing intense thoughts, emotions, as well as fears and hopes.
The other day, our Deacon Joan Crawford sent this article to me which I in turn shared with my Romero House students. In reading it together, we experienced a sense of peace and consolation in recognizing that we are all connected: those beside us and those who have gone before us. I thought you would all appreciate this as well.
As we involve ourselves in this sacred act of voting may our hearts and minds be guided by the Spirit of God who reminds us what we stand for, upon whose shoulders we stand upon and who we stand with.
Paz!
