This week's newsletter and bulletin

Weekly News & Bulletin

Edition for May 9, 2026

Sunday: 6th Sunday of Easter

Reverent Silence before Mass

Approximately 10-15 minutes before mass, we light the altar candles. This marks a time for silent reflection, prayer, and meditation—a moment to center ourselves in God’s presence, open our hearts and minds to His word, and prepare to receive the Eucharist. You may also choose to pray for the requests on our weekly Prayer Request list below. If our musician is playing a prelude, take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the music.

While we cherish seeing our All Souls family each week, we kindly ask that once the candles are lit, conversations be reserved for after the service or during fellowship hour. A quiet greeting, wave hello, or hug is always OK, but please do not disturb others who may be praying or reflecting.

Our next potluck will be Saturday, May 16th from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM downstairs in the Pine Room. Please join us and bring your favorite dish to share. Our potlucks are always a joyful evening full of good conversation, great food and wonderful friends!

Berks Coalition for Youth Homelessness

For the month of May, we will be collecting tissue packs and child’s sippy cups. There will be a box in the vestibule where you can place the items. If you have any questions, please see any board member.

(if you have combs/brushes from April, we are still collecting)

Prayer before service: 10-15 minutes before mass, we ask for silent reverence and prayer in the Chapel. Thank you.
